Hi Peter very nice model. I have a bit of a shoft spot for these vans too. When I was serving my apprenticeship as a commercial motor mechanic (many years ago) the company I worked for had a fleet of the Commer walk Tru's. I have just managed to buy a Commer Walk Tru model by Lion from Holland as I want to convert it in to a fire appliance York City had. I have heard that Lion are no longer in business.

Hi Paul. The Dutch manufacturer, Lion Cars are still making models and have just re-released the Walk-thru in their range as a nostalgia/heritage model. Roughly translated that means £45 for the pleasure of owning a re-run.

Hello Paul, I am just finishing off a large slice of humble pie as I've just found out that you are quite correct in that Lion has closed down. Quite a shock really and very sad for the workers of this very old Dutch company.
