1;64 - sorry about the packaging but I have not taken it out yet. This is a very accurate representation. See fire engine photos site #16244 for the exact model.

Am I correct in thinking that the models by Del Prado are manufactured by Corgi?
I don't think the Del Prado models have any connection with Corgi although some appear to be copies of other manufacturers' models (e.g. the Matchbox Bedford pump). All of my examples just have the Del Prado name and 'Made in China' on the base so the actual manufacturer is completely anonymous. The Volvo is a nice model but it's a pity they didn't stick to a constant scale for the whole range.
Marcel,Del Prado Publishers/Ediciones Del Prado was founded in 1988 in Madrid(Spain)and from the outset the company has published collectable part-works,one series being the"Fire Engines of the World"series which originally was to be around 70 diecast models, but it just grew and grew to be in the excess of some 150 models. Many of the models though were in actual fact very similar copies from other model manufacturers such as Matchbox,Corgi,Code 3,Fire Brigade Models(FBM),and many others. The Del Prado fire engine collection was manufactured in China under the Del Prado name, and I certainly believe have nothing to do with Corgi apart from similarities in actual models produced by that company.
