Transport Model Photos

City of York Bedford Emergency Tender.

This picture shows the City of York Fire Brigades 1960 Bedford RL/Derwent Emergency Tender that was in use at York until 1979.This was another appliance in use at the Clifford Street Fire Station in York in the yellow livery and this is now the fourth appliance I've now converted.
This actual model in 1.76 scale was originally the Bedford Green Goddess (Coventry) by Oxford Diecast completely re-modelled (scratch-built) into the ET using plastikard and various accessories and bits and pieces.
Pictures of the real appliance are on the fire engine photos site (14668 and 16008).
The backdrop to my model shows a photograph of York Fire Station by Paul Warnock which is due to close at some time and used with his kind permission. From this photo and others,I hope to make a model of this fire station to display the appliances I've converted of the City of York Fire Brigade.

Thanks Stevie,I've just finished my latest project which was the making of a WW11 period AFS/NFS Fire Station(BARN)with some appliances from Fire Force Area 36,one of London's 6(33-Administrative)Fire Forces.I'll send pictures in(start to finish)of that war-time period model soon.
Reference the City of York Fire Brigade and appliances,I've now started making the actual fire station to accompany the models I recently re-produced(like above)in the yellow livery from the early to mid-1970's.
