1950's Aec/Merryweather Pump and Pump Escape.

This picture shows the latest release due in shops soon from the Oxford Diecast collection in 1.76 scale in the London Fire Brigade livery,a 1950's AEC/Merryweather pump and pump escape.
The model (Pump Escape) comes with an extra ladder (standard 30ft-London) so the model can be used as a PE or Pump.
Certainly a very nice model and well worth adding to your collection, also coming soon I beleave is the same model in the Newcastle livery to go with the recent AEC/Merryweather turntable released.
Oxford are to release the AEC/Merryweather TL soon in the grey livery as I'm sure your all aware, but did you know there is talk of them also releasing 2 other NFS appliances in the 1.76 scale in the not to distant future,or is this just a rumour.I heard it though from a very good source.

I am sure you mean Leyland/Metz TL, and yes it has been released in the gray NFS delivery. They are also developing a Bedford WLG Heavy Unit and Austin ATV with Coventry Climax trailer pump. These should be very nice models to complement Oxford's Austin Low Loader Taxi in NFS livery.
