Transport Model Photos
"The Park Gardeners" in 1/76
I got the inspiration for this model from a photo of an Allen-Taylor Groundsman's tipper. They were built on Ford 5cwt and 10cwt (E83A) chassis for use on private estates, parks and so on. The basis of the model was one of the John Day Ford Populars, with the bodywork removed aft of the windscreen. The passenger seat was also removed and the tipping body made from plasticard. The rear wheels came from a military kit. The model was built about nine years ago and occupies a space just three inches square.
