Sure as the Sunrise

The driver of James Spencers' Albion has gone for the chains and sylvesters to secure the gantry crane girder to his lorry. In the background, Fred Dibnah surveys the scene prior to felling the chimney at the now nearly-demolished mill. The lorry is a lightly-weathered Base Toy, with only the addition of bolsters and the load, which was assembled from Plastruct "I" beams and plastic strip. The lorry is posed on a superb diorama built by PAUL BOOTH, depicting a semi-demolished mill with the chimney being prepared for the drop in Freds' inimitable fashion. The lorry is in 1/76 scale and dates from 2009.
