hi the name should read Lady Sadler, this actual machine served Middlesbrough fire brigade till the mid sixties then went to the printing ink company, after this it was owned by the science museum in Newcastle upon Tyne and it is now looked after by the fire crews at Tynemouth ian mc

Any chance, that the real-life machine; y'know the original... is shown on the fire-engine-photos.com 'Site here; or perhaps a sister ?

I imagine that the original Lady Sadler donated the fire-engine(or the funding) to the Brigade; and that's why this machine bears her name ?

I am going to scroll down the Leyland Group list there; however, I need new bi-focal spectacles, and could easily miss it, in the blur of pixels....agh, old age.

Pat, whenever looking for something specific on these sites... why not use the search or the advanced search facility? (top right menu)

Added by Marcel Gommers on 30 October 2009.
Marcel: yes, oops, had forgotten about the Search box; and it does work well, even for me .

Some other 'Sites; it seems to be hopeless; but, then, they are not the same quality as your fine 'Sites here.

Ah well; adjust the spectacles and off I go.
