Oxford Diecast 1/76th scale Recovery Truck

This was the 1/76th scale Oxford Diecast DAF/Boniface recovery truck in Kardos Recovery livery. The original livery on the cab was removed with nail varnish remover. The bodywork is made from plastic so I over painted it with 2 coats of matt white and 2 coats of white gloss to cover the original livery. The locker detail was highlighted with a pencil, the new lettering, logos and the locker handles are water-slide decals.

That really is some mean beast of a truck Graham, real smart.Fantastic conversion mate, the tranfers really setting it off real nice.

Thanks Paul & Pete, I’ve photographed a lot of these recovery trucks over the years at Peterborough Truckfest, but never got round to having a go at one, so when Oxford brought the model out I thought here’s my chance to have a go. The transfers are a mix taken from about 6 different recovery trucks I’ve photographed. I’ve also done a Transit Van Roadside Response Unit in the same livery to go with this model, will upload photo of it.
