French Sapiers Pompiers Citroen and VW.

This picture shows a couple of typical vehicles used by the French Fire Service(Sapiers Pompiers)which I was able to obtain to add to my 1.87 scale scratchbuilt 5 bay French Fire Station.
On the left of picture we have a Citroen'H'type van in 1.87 scale which were commonly used as ambulances,transport units,rescue units,as well as in some rural areas as pumps.This model in 1.87 scale is by the German model company by the name of Busch.The model on the right of picture is of a VW Caddy produced in 1.87 scale by the Austrian model company by the name of Rietz.

Fantastic models! I'm looking forward to seeing the airport models. Citroen have tried to bring back the 'H Type' in the form of this concept van.

Thankyou Dermot, the airport model I only finished last week having converted it from an American fire station(looked terrible)into an airport fire station(looks better)so I could use some of my model crash tenders.I have also just finished up-dating an old Spanish model I originally did many years ago so I will photograph these and send into Transport Models site in due course.
