LLedo'Days Gone'Conversions.A ride in the country.

This picture shows two fire engines from the LLedo'Days Gone'Series that I've just completely re-modeled as a Dennis pump, and a Dennis pump escape.
Looking back at picture #765, it actually shows the work at the start of the conversion, but since then the vehicles have been completely repainted, windows added and the old ladder gantry removed(which was above the window) to correct position behind the driver. One of the wheeled escape ladders was shortened for the pump, where as the other horrible wheeled escape was completely rebuild for the pump escape.Transfers were then applied to where needed on the vehicles, suction hose then added, and then last, the firemen were placed in their positions.
Although a few hours of work as gone into making these horrible LLedo models look like a 'days gone' fire appliance,I really do feel its been well worth the time spent on the project.
Bristol Bob,if I can do it then so can you,go on give it a try.Pavel,if your looking in me old mate, here's those firemen you mentioned hanging on for dear life whilst out on a country run.Pete.

Comments:
Pete, they are a vast improvement on the originals, maybe when i have finished my ongoing model i will have a look at these, but i still have several F12's to sort out as well.

Pete, can't wait to see them (the firemen) added to the TTL, you've done a magnificent job on these LLedo models!! Love the diorama too,,

Pavel, the firemen seen here are from LLedo's horse drawn steamer in what I think like these models are in something like 1/70th scale. The Oxford Diecast Leyland/Metz Turntable Ladder is in 1/76th scale. Not alot of difference, but these firemen look like giants on that model, and actually I can't even sit them in the cab.
