Austin K2 Salvage Tender 1/76th Scale

Wanting a model to fill the empty bay in my 1950’s fire station I came across this model in my junk box; it was in a bit of a battered state with a broken front axle and badly chipped paintwork, I made a new axle and sanded the paintwork down with fine wet & dry emery paper. I made and fitted ladder gantries and a bell, and then I gave it a re-paint. I added number plates and lettering and a Langley white metal ladder.

Graham, another great little model. Now if that were me,I'd leave this in the line-up in that 4 bay station you've just finished. Its very typical of the period still seeing 1930/40's appliances still in use.
There's some good little models coming out this year,so make another station for them.
