Well, work is now well underway on my next project this being a typical city fire station in 1/76th scale from the turn of the last (1900) century. This will be a 2 bay, 2 storey building for those Lledo Dennis pump and pump escape converted appliances I recently done.
The scratch built model is made from plasti card, window/door frames having been cut out, an outer plastic brickwork sheet is then cut to size and is then applied, window/door frames are then cut through the outer layer to marry-up with the original boarding. The next stage is to add the windows, doors, etc to the model and this picture shows some windows now inserted into the frames.
Because this model will actually have white windows (no painting required), cut out clear plastic can now be applied to the interior windows of the model for that glased look.
Watch out for part 2 of this model under construction coming soon on this site.Pete.
