1900 Circa City Fire Station and Appliances.This picture shows in 1/76th scale my finished scratch built circa 1900 fire station and the Lledo Dennis fire engines I recently converted to go with this proposed model.
Although the fire appliances are from around the 1920/30's era,I actually wanted to make a fire station from a little earlier which would show the old stables from the horse drawn steamer era,etc period.The stables on this model are part of the actual building at the rear of the station,a seperate section actually shows the courtyard and out buildings.This was made in this way for easy packing away,but also will be easy to set-up for displaying.
I am very pleased with this finished scratch built model,next maybe I should do one for those London convertions I recently re-modeled.Time will only tell.
